"SPOTLITE OF THE WEEK"

This is a great nostalgic photo submitted by Mike Stoertz.

Mike was 13 when his family left Elliot Lake in 1960 when
this photo was taken.  As you can see from the sign,
the population of Elliot Lake at that time was 22,500
which was a reduced population due to mine layoffs!

Mike and his own family now live in Fairview, Oregon
which is next to Portland, Oregon
